How we rank: Appointment scheduling tools
The Score (0–100) is a weighted sum of the factors below. Each factor is the weighted average of its metrics; each metric is calculated from one published fact. Missing facts score zero, and a service is ranked only when enough of its Score is backed by facts.
A service is ranked only when at least 70% of its Score is backed by verified facts.

Price 30%
Monthly list price in USD of the cheapest paid plan with monthly billing, as shown on the official pricing page: $0 scores 100, $30 or more scores 0 (weight 3). Most tools charge per user, some per location or per calendar: check the note under the price. Annual-billing prices, one-time lifetime deals and promotions are ignored. If the page shows only the annual price, shows the monthly price only after a script runs, or shows a currency other than USD to us, the fact stays empty. Also a permanent free plan on which clients can actually book (weight 2).
| Metric | Rule |
|---|---|
| Cheapest paid plan, monthly billing | Linear from 0 (100) to 30 (0) — lower is better |
| Free plan | Yes = 100, No = 0 |
Booking features 35%
Whether clients can pay or leave a deposit when they book (weight 2), whether the tool sends SMS reminders itself, not only through Zapier (weight 2), whether bookings can be assigned automatically to an available team member, by round robin or an "any available" option (weight 2), whether an iCloud (Apple) calendar can be connected (weight 1) and whether there is a documented public API (weight 1). The fact shows that a feature exists on some plan, not that the cheapest plan has it.
| Metric | Rule |
|---|---|
| Payment at booking | Yes = 100, No = 0 |
| SMS reminders | Yes = 100, No = 0 |
| Team booking distribution | Yes = 100, No = 0 |
| iCloud calendar sync | Yes = 100, No = 0 |
| Public API | Yes = 100, No = 0 |
Privacy and security 20%
Whether the vendor offers customers a data processing agreement under GDPR (weight 2), states that it has a SOC 2 report (weight 1) and lets customers keep their data in the European Union (weight 1). An EU option that exists only for large enterprise contracts is not counted. We record the vendor's statement; we do not audit it.
| Metric | Rule |
|---|---|
| GDPR data processing agreement | Yes = 100, No = 0 |
| SOC 2 report | Yes = 100, No = 0 |
| Data stored in the EU | Yes = 100, No = 0 |
Track record 15%
How long the company has been running: 15 years or more scores 100 (weight 2), and whether it publishes a public status page with incidents (weight 1).
| Metric | Rule |
|---|---|
| Founded | Full score at 15+ years |
| Public status page | Yes = 100, No = 0 |
