Online pharmacies: rankings by country 2026
We compare pharmacies that sell medicines to the public through their own website or app: mail-order pharmacies and pharmacy chains with online ordering that are licensed in the country. Marketplaces and price-comparison sites that do not dispense medicines themselves, telemedicine services and shops selling only cosmetics or supplements are not included. The core of the ranking is the official register: whether the pharmacy is listed by the national regulator as allowed to sell medicines online or at a distance. We add only facts anyone can check on the pharmacy's own website and in the App Store: whether it names its legal entity with a registration number, whether a pharmacist can be consulted, whether prescription medicines can be ordered online as far as the country's law allows, home delivery, free delivery from an order value, the number of pharmacies or pick-up points where online orders can be collected, the year it started and the rating of its app. We never compare prices of individual medicines. This ranking is not medical advice and does not recommend any medicine: ask a doctor or pharmacist about treatment. Every fact links to its source with the date we checked it. Customer reviews and media rankings are not used. Places are not for sale.

Frequently asked questions
Which online pharmacy is the best?
The pharmacy in first place has the highest Score under our open methodology. This is not medical advice and not a recommendation of any medicine. First make sure the pharmacy is in the official register; then look at what matters to you: pharmacist advice, prescriptions, delivery or a pharmacy nearby to collect from.
How can I tell that an online pharmacy is legal?
Look the pharmacy up in the official register of the country's regulator; the country pages below say which register that is. In the EU, a legal online seller of medicines must show the EU common logo, and clicking it must open the seller's entry on the national register's own website. Be careful with sites that sell prescription medicines without asking for a prescription.
Where does the data come from?
From official registers of regulators and from the pharmacies' own websites (legal notice, delivery terms, prescription and consultation pages), and from the App Store. Every fact links to its page with the date we checked it. If a register or page cannot be read automatically, the fact stays empty rather than guessed.
Do you compare prices of medicines?
No. Prices of individual medicines change often, many prescription medicines have fixed or reimbursed prices, and choosing a medicine by price is a question for a doctor or pharmacist. We only record whether delivery is free from a stated order value.
Can a pharmacy buy a place in the ranking?
No. The Score is calculated with the same formula for every pharmacy. Paid placements, if they ever appear, will be a separate block labelled as advertising and never affect the Score.
