Job search websites: rankings by country 2026

We compare job boards, vacancy aggregators and state job portals that job seekers use to find work, only on facts anyone can check on the sites' own help, rules, privacy and legal pages: whether searching and applying are free for job seekers, whether the site says it checks employers or moderates vacancies before publication, whether it publishes advice on avoiding job scams, whether you can hide your CV from your current employer or from everyone, whether its rules require the salary in every job ad, how many vacancies it says it has, whether it has its own app and how that app is rated in the App Store, whether the operator is named with its registration number, whether a privacy policy is published and how long the site has existed. Recruiting agencies and freelance marketplaces are not included. Every fact links to its source with the date we checked it. Reviews and the number of visitors are not used. The ranking is not advice to use a particular site. Places are not for sale.

Frequently asked questions

Which job search website is the best?

The site in first place has the highest Score under our open methodology. This is not advice: look at what matters to you. If you are afraid of fake vacancies, check Safety for job seekers; if you are looking for work while employed, check whether you can hide your CV; if you need many offers in your city, look at Vacancies and app. It often makes sense to keep a CV on two or three sites.

Where does the data come from?

From the sites' own official pages (help centre, rules for employers, privacy policy, terms, imprint or contacts), from official company registers and from the App Store. Every fact links to its page with the date we checked it.

Why don't you use reviews or traffic?

Reviews of job sites are mostly about specific employers, not about the site, and they cannot be verified reliably. Traffic estimates come from third-party tools and are not published by the sites. So the Score uses only rules and figures that the site publishes itself.

Are recruiting agencies and freelance platforms included?

No. This ranking covers job boards, vacancy aggregators and state job portals where employers publish vacancies and job seekers apply directly. Freelance marketplaces have their own ranking.

Can a job site buy a place in the ranking?

No. The Score is calculated with the same formula for every site. Paid placements, if they ever appear, will be a separate block labelled as advertising and never affect the Score.
