How we rank: Digital marketing agencies

The Score (0–100) is a weighted sum of the factors below. Each factor is the weighted average of its metrics; each metric is calculated from one published fact. Missing facts score zero, and a service is ranked only when enough of its Score is backed by facts.

A service is ranked only when at least 60% of its Score is backed by verified facts.

← Digital marketing agencies in Germany 2026: a fact-based ranking

Proof of work 35%

At least three public case studies naming the client, and at least one case study with measured results. An anonymous "large retailer" does not count as a named client. Results are as published by the agency.

MetricRule
Case studies with named clientsYes = 100, No = 0
Case study with measured resultsYes = 100, No = 0

Transparency 30%

Whether a legal entity of this country is given with its registration number, prices are published, a privacy policy exists, and how many of four contact channels are listed: phone, email, form, address.

MetricRule
Legal entity with registration numberYes = 100, No = 0
Published pricesYes = 100, No = 0
Privacy policyYes = 100, No = 0
Contact channels (of 4)Linear from 0 (0) to 4 (100)

Confirmed credentials 15%

Partner status confirmed in the vendor's own directory, and membership confirmed on the trade association's own site. A badge on the agency's site alone does not count. Several vendor directories cannot be read automatically, so this fact often shows as not verified.

MetricRule
Partner confirmed by the vendorYes = 100, No = 0
Trade-association memberYes = 100, No = 0

Experience and scale 20%

Year founded (scale up to 20 years) and stated headcount (logarithmic scale up to 1,000 people). Figures are as stated; for a group they may cover all offices.
