IT companies in Poland 2026: a fact-based ranking
A ranking of Polish IT services and custom software companies, based only on facts from official sites and public registers. We look at ISO 27001, ISO 9001 and SOC 2, case studies with named clients, vendor partner status, the name with its KRS or NIP, published reports, year founded and stated headcount. Listed companies publish reports by law, so that fact favours them. The ranking does not assess engineering quality. Compare Scores only within Poland. The Score is not for sale; paid placements, if any appear, will be a separate labelled block.

How we calculate the Score
30%
Proof of work
At least three public case studies naming the client, stated partner status with a named vendor, and the company's own open-source code. An anonymous "large bank" does not count as a named client.
25%
Transparency
Whether a legal entity of this country is given with its registration number, annual reports are published, a code of conduct and a privacy policy exist, and how many of four contact channels are listed: phone, email, form or chat, address.
25%
Certificates
Whether current ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO 9001 certificates and a SOC 2 report are stated. "We work to ISO standards" is not a certificate. We do not check the documents with certification bodies.
20%
Experience and scale
Year founded (scale up to 30 years) and stated headcount (logarithmic scale up to 10,000 people). Figures are as stated; for a group they may cover the whole group.
How to choose an IT contractor
Check the legal entity
Find the name and registration number and compare them with the state register. The contract should name the same company, not an intermediary.
Ask for certificate copies
Ask for the certificate number, validity and scope. A certificate may cover only one office or one service.
Talk to clients
Ask for contacts from similar projects. Case studies on a site show only what the company chose to show.
Secure the rights to the code
The contract should cover transfer of code rights, repository access, acceptance and support after delivery.
Frequently asked questions
What does first place mean?
The company in first place has the highest Score under our open method among companies in that country. It is not a judgement of its engineering and not advice to choose it.
Why do big companies score higher?
Experience and scale make up 20% of the Score, and larger companies more often hold certificates and publish reports. For a small project that is not necessarily an advantage: compare the facts that matter to you.
What counts as a case study with a named client?
At least three public examples of work where the client is named. Anonymous descriptions such as "a large retailer" do not count, although some clients may forbid being named.
Why are there no reviews or Clutch scores?
Reviews are hard to verify and places on paid lists are bought. We show only facts from official sites and registers.
Why is data missing for some companies?
If a fact was not found on the official site, or the site is closed to automated checks, we show "Not verified" and award no points. It does not mean the company lacks it.
Can I compare companies from different countries?
No. Registers, certificates and publishing habits differ, so the Score only makes sense within one country.
