Private clinics and hospitals in the UK 2026: ranking by city
A ranking of private multi-specialty clinics and hospitals in the UK's largest cities, one city at a time, based only on facts from official websites. It includes providers that state on their website registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), or in Scotland regulation by Healthcare Improvement Scotland. In the UK a clinic has no licence number of its own, so we count this statement as the licence; we did not read the regulator's register. We also look at the legal entity with a company number, price list, complaints procedure, laboratory, MRI, CT or X-ray on site, inpatient or day care, medical specialties, online booking and contacts. Promotional prices do not count as a price list. This ranking is not medical advice, does not replace a doctor and does not assess the quality of treatment. A city gets a page when at least four providers have enough data. Score is not for sale; any paid placement would be a separate labelled block.
